First stage infancy, having all the components  for life but you are still building on the quality of your structure, followed by the second main stage when one is in their prime, at the pinnacle of their life. Lastly the stage where you find yourself with the same relative form but has begun to decay and fold inwards.  

I first started exploring this idea with the lunar series. Oddly enough this series was initially inspired by an earring which I found in a parking lot and imagined it to be much larger with copper accents,  in essence creating a  large earring.  Subsequently I then envisioned it to be a series of three, even though all would have a similar form the variances and growth would evolve from the copper changing in presence. This is also the series which from the moment of realization I had envisioned photographing them in a unique environment such as Death Valley, CA.

  On the other hand the series Star Burst would all be similar in material and artistic form for the bottom portion but on top the glass would be different forms for the progression of age. While in the Planetary Nebula series, both the glass and the material at the bottom changed as they went though the stages of life. First infancy was made of copper, and steel, with a glass from that was smooth and organic in nature. The second stage was made of copper and glass with a beautiful heat patina showing of the true nature of copper and the glass being a perfect circle. And lastly the third stage was made of steel with a rusty patina, and a decaying glass form that is more in the spirit of the first stage yet much more jagged.
