Furniture

When I was introduced to metalsmithing some of the first projects I created were lighting and furniture.  Lighting and furniture are still to this day one of my true passions. Also, many of the techniques I employ in sculpture were first explored in these lighting projects, such as enameling on steel in Tribal Sconce, as well as the hammering I employ in many of my current pieces was first hammered into Contemporary Lamp, this was a technique I was taught by one of my mentors and fellow sculptor, John Hubbard. I also use these creations to test out patinas and other colorful effects.

The lighting designs are quite similar to humans, they all have a unique exterior but it's what shines from within that creates the piece.
